There is nothing like The Pines anywhere else in the world. Having the honor of living and working out on the island inspired this collection of weavings, textile work, and photographs.

All of the weavings and textile pieces were made from cotton dyed from plants grown by seed on the island.

This collection asks a simple question. What if this place was everything we ever needed? Would we be happy here? Or is it special because we leave it behind to remember it fondly in the cold of winter?

Through time, this island and its unique culture and geography have allowed it to thrive despite epidemics, storms, and internal disagreements.

Whether it be homeowners, contractors, boys in shares, workers, business owners, weekenders, day trippers, those here for a lifetime and those here for a night, all who come to the island become part of it. And that is what makes it special.
